Where’s Waldo—Finding Data (and Metadata) in Your Content: Resources

Did you catch my ConVEx 2023 presentation with Leigh White, “Where’s Waldo: Finding Data in Your Content?” We covered a lot in 45 minutes—even so, we had to gloss over a ton of great info. To rectify this, we’re sharing this implementation checklist and resource list.

For teams approaching a CCMS migration, the Information Architecture Migration Readiness Assessment includes a full metadata readiness section as part of its checklist.

Implementation Checklist

  • Analyze your content to determine your tier

  • Identify data lurking in your content

  • Locate metadata

  • Assess degree of metadata standardization

  • Engage with stakeholders to find efficiencies

  • Collaborate with Content Strategist to determine how metadata and data fit into their vision of the user journey
